About the Theme
===============

The Genealogies BuddyPress Theme is a custom template for BuddyPress. 
This distribution of Genealogies *requires* a valid installation of the Thesis WordPress Theme because 
it uses functions and options from Thesis. This is a custom tailored version of Genealogies so it can interoperate 
with Thesis. 

This theme has been developed by Eduardo Graells, based initially on the BuddyPress Skeleton Member Theme and then
on the BuddyPress Parent Theme Framework, both by Andy Peatling.
 
Genealogies is distributed under the terms of the General Public License Version 2 (or any later 
version, at your option). However, it calls some functions from Thesis, which is not GPL2+. If you do not have Thesis,
for Genealogies to work you will need to write replacement functions.

Installation
============

0. Make sure you have BuddyPress already working. Test your installation with the default BP theme.
1. Copy the folder bp-genealogies to your WORDPRESS/wp-content/themes/ folder. 
2. Enable the BP Genealogies theme in your WPMU site settings. I recommend enabling it only for the root blog.
3. Ensure you have Thesis installed at WORDPRESS/wp-content/themes/thesis 
3.1 Remember, it MUST be WORDPRESS/wp-content/themes/thesis ! i.e., WORDPRESS/wp-content/themes/thesis_16 or something like that won't work.
4. Activate the Genealogies BuddyPress Theme in your Theme options for the BuddyPress root blog.
5. You're done :)
