How can I start my registry?

You can start your registry at the kiosk at any Target store, or you can register online at Target.com/babyregistry. Once created, you can add to or delete from your registry using the Target iPhone app.

How many months before our expected arrival date should we register?

It's a good idea to register five to six months before your expected arrival date, or at least two months before your baby shower. That way, your family and friends will have plenty of time to access your registry.

Is there a limit to the number of registry items we can have?

No. The more choices you give people, the happier everyone will be. Be sure to provide plenty of options by registering for items that have a range of prices and include selections for both traditional and non-traditional gift-givers.

How can I add items to my registry?

You can add to, delete from and update your registry at any Target Store, online or on mobile. Use the Target iPhone app's barcode scanner in multiple scan mode to add new items fast.

Can my friends and family view my registry online?

When you're setting up your registry, you can choose to have your gift list online so people can view it at their convenience.

How do we tell people where we're registered?

Etiquette suggests that registry information appear on shower invitations for the convenience of invited guests. You can also rely on close friends and family to circulate the information or post it on a family website.

What if I need to return something or make an exchange?

Returns to a Target Store: You have up to 90 days after the event date on your registry to return or exchange items using a valid receipt, gift receipt or Gift Purchase Log. Bring your photo ID and make sure that your items are new, unused and in the original packaging with any accessories included. You will receive a GiftCard for the original purchase value of the items.

What is a Gift Purchase Log?

Your Gift Purchase Log is a list of all the gifts your friends and family told us about at the time of purchase. You can print your Gift Purchase Log anytime at a Target store kiosk and use it like a receipt. Anyone can update your registry through the iPhone app by having a cashier scan the item and then the barcode associated with your registry from their phone.
