Where did my effects go?

How do I customize Flashlight?

All of the effects are still in this version of Flashlight. The LED controls have been moved to be a separate screen effect which you can customize and organize as you like. Flashlight has many different effect screens which you can customize however you like. To move from one effect screen to another, simply slide left or right with one finger. To change your effects: 1) Hold down with one finger until "Hold to Customize" changes to "Release to Customize". 2) Let go and you will be on the Settings screen. 3) From here, you can: Press the "+ Add New Screen" button to add a new screen, you will then see the list of effects to choose from. reuses the "Edit" button to delete or change the order of screens. The first screen in the list will appear when you open Flashlight. The first screen in the list will appear both when you open Flashlight and when you leave Settings.

How do I make it even brighter?

First, slide up with one finger to make sure Flashlight is at its brightest (sliding down with one finger will dim). If you want/need the light to be even brighter, go to the Settings app on your iPhone (or iPod touch) and increase the brightness. Unfortunately, Flashlight cannot override this brightness setting from within the app.

Will Flashlight really give me seizures?

Flashlight does not enable the strobe light or other special effects unless you choose them in the Settings. If you have concerns, please talk with your doctor before turning on the special effects. Some more information is available on our Health and Safety Warning

How do I make it go faster?

You can change the speed of effects in the app by sliding up or down with two fingers. You will see "Frequency" at the bottom of the screen while you are doing this. This changes the speed for ALL effects. You can also change the speed of each color used in some effects by customizing them. Try keeping the shortest time for white or a color, and a longer time for black to slow down reality a bit.
