Time Machine

Enable unsupported network volumes:

Enables Time Machine to connect to network volumes over more protocols.

Disable backup of system files:

Prevents Time Machine from backing up system files.

Disable local snapshots:

If you are using Time Machine with an external disk on a MacBook, Time Machine will keep a copy of the latest backup on your internal drive. This is done to ensure that all changes to files and documents will be backed up even when you're not connected to your Time Machine disk, however it can take up significant amounts of disk space. Cocktail can disable the local backups (called snapshots) and free up the space used by Time Machine. Warning: By disabling the local Time Machine backups you reduce the effectiveness of your backups and you risk losing data.

Backup when disks are mounted:

Enables backed up disks to be backed up when mounted. The disk will be backed up on normal Time Machine interval.

Do not ask to use newly connected disks:

Time Machine will not prompt when new disks are connected. To enable backup for a new device you will have to use Time Machines preferences.

Backup every X minute(s):

Time between Time Machine backups.
