She’s keeping a specific pace/power on the bike based on her training with her coach. So she may fall back a bit during the bike, but I anticipate her holding solid and steady. Her race plan is very good. God willing and the creeks don’t rise she’ll be in the hunt on the run. She’s a VERY good runner.

So far the live tracking on the site is pretty accurate. I was following her on the map and it moves along with her real time. I was out on the bike course and she passed me within minutes of when the tracker said she would. Tracking her is LIGHT YEARS ahead of what I was doing back at St. George.

She's never made the podium at full distance. A first for her. 8000 feet of Elevation gain (mile and a half straight up), 140.6 miles travelled in 95 degree heat. Amazing day! Incredibly proud, so much so that I'm crying typing this. The joy is unstoppable. It's been one hell of a day.

I have a good story from today too. I was spectating, a cyclist crashed into some pylons and flipped off her bike 10 feet away for me. Road rash bike in a tumble and the writer was in distress. The volunteers I was standing next to dropped the signs they were holding to go help her. The signs were telling people to slow down to make a hairpin turn into the transition area to start their run. Suddenly there was no one to tell these people to slow down. I picked up a sign and started shouting at people to slow down and pointing them towards the terminal. This went on for a good 10 minutes all the volunteers were helping the cyclist regain her senses. Fortunately she was OK and ride off. So I had my five minutes of volunteering fame.
