Eight years ago I thought I would strike it out on my own as a designer and see where it took me. Over those years I've had the good fortune to work with some smart people and work on some great projects. I've learned that connecting to others, being curious, asking questions, and sharing is what fuels great collaboration and accomplishments.

The opportunity you described on Authentic Jobs sounds excellent. I'm really drawn to how you work and that you're about making a huge positive difference in peoples lives. Currently I am but a single person "shop" and would love the opportunity to be a part of something larger that is doing good work and helping people.

I have nearly two decades of experience designing and developing user experiences on the Internet. I'm able to converse in the languages of design, development, marketing, and strategy. I'm proficient with HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, JQuery, and API implementations. I'm an expert with Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite. I keep an open-minded approach to all ideas, have an ego-less approach to constructive criticism, and I never stop learning

I also have a wealth of experience designing and producing all manner of printed materials for brands. My work before the Internet ran the gamut; identity design and style guides, editorial design, advertising design, packaging, and promotional materials, annual reports, trade show booths, photo shoots, and press checks. 

My experience on the agency and client side of projects in service driven industries has given me expert troubleshooting and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to clearly communicate solutions to others. I like to work as fast as possible but I find it critical to think ahead on projects to root out issues beforehand. 

I'm in Ojai, California in Ventura County and it’s a bit remote. I live in the foothills of the Los Padres National Forest. This has allowed me to develop a very comfortable workflow with clients all over the world using services like Skype, Basecamp, IM, Twitter and email.
